雅思口语Part1范文：Recycling

1. Do you recycle things? Why?

Yes, definitely I do. One important reason is that it is required by the government! I mean it is compulsory for us to classify the rubbish into recyclable one and unrecyclable one. So, when I sort out the recyclables, I would first check if there’s anything I can reuse, and then put the rest in the recycle bin. Also, personally I believe that it is an environmentally-friendly action.

2.Did you recycle things when you were a child?

I do vaguely remember that I did. Years ago, we did not have to classify the rubbish but my mom always encouraged me to think about other uses of the items that I wanted to throw away. So, I made some artworks out of waste paper and filled some empty cans with beans to make maracas, which gave me a lot of fun.

3.Will you recycle things in the future?

Of course, I will! I am pretty sure that it would become a popular trend in the future since a lot more people are paying attention to ecology nowadays. In my opinion, this is a very beneficial thing to do as saving the resources, materials and energy can help protect the planet that we almost destroyed. I think everybody should begin to recycle things.

4.What kind of things do you recycle?

For me, in most cases, I recycle paper products and also the packages of some items. Since I have paperwork to do sometimes, I always reuse the wasted paper as my scratch paper, so that I don't have to use a totally blank page for some trivial notes. Also, sometimes I find the packages of some products so fancy that I could actually use them to wrap my gifts, so I keep them for those occasions.
