1.Who is your favorite celebrity in China?

Jay Chou, of course. That's a household name in China. You know, he is incredibly famous in pop music. Oh, actually, he’s more than a singer, he produces his own music and he also produced a few movies that won prestigeous film awards in the country. But even with great fame, he’s a down to earth guy who’s humble and gentle. That’s why he’s my idol.

2.In general, how do people become famous?

I think these days, many celebrities get known by attending talent shows. There are all sorts of contests out there, you know, beauty contest, singing contest or even painting contest. Whatever the program is, as long as it attracts audience, the top candidates will receive fame.

3.What kinds of people become famous?

Ah, people who are particularly talented in some area like sing、acting or dancing could easily get admirers in the first place. And I think people who can grasp the opportunities can also get success. Being good at something and being famous depend on good opportunities, I think. So if you know how to take advantage of the situation, you are more likely to get famous.

4.Do you think, to be famous, a person needs to have some special talent (or ability)?

Well, normally yes. If you look around, most famous individuals are exceptionally good in their field. But still it doesn’t speak for all. Some people were born with fame. For example, if you are Bill Gates’ children, you can’t help being watched by the media and the public, can you?

5.Would you want to be a celebrity in the future?

No, that’s the last thing I want. Well, I am pretty satisfied with being someone in the crowd. So I get to choose how I want to live my life. As a celebrity, you basically have to exchange your freedom for fame. You would be watched everywhere you go, and every move you make could be made on the tabloids. The unmeasurable stress could really tear me apart.
