雅思口语Part1范文:Staying up
1.What do you usually do when you stay up late?
Oftentimes, I stay up late because a deadline is approaching and I haven’t accomplished my assigned tasks. Occasionally, I also stay up because I would like to finish the last episode of my best TV series since I’m so gripped with its storyline and simply can’t leave it to the next day.
2.How do you feel when you have stayed up late the night before?
I feel pretty exhausted after staying up late the night before. I guess that feelings of exhaustion can be attributed to sleep deprivation. I would often get back to my normal state after a glass of water but things will again get worse in the afternoon. So generally speaking, staying up late will render you lethargic the next day.
3.Do you often stay up late?
Yes, I guess I stay up late pretty often because it seems to me that things can never be finished no matter how hard I’ve tried. And even if I did get things done, I always want to spend some time on my own doing things like binge-watching my best TV series on Netflix.
4. Did you stay up late when you were a kid?
Not really. I mean I wanted to go to bed late sometimes, but you know when we were a kid, our parents always worried about us not getting enough sleep. So, they would remind us when it was bedtime and made sure that we really slept. However, for some special occasions, such as New Year’s Eve, we could stay up a bit later.
5. What does it feel like the next morning if you stay up late?
Well, as a morning person, I have to say that if I cannot go to sleep early, the next day I will feel totally wasted. I will not be able to concentrate on my studies/work and lose my appetite. And, in the afternoon, the exhaustion will be overwhelming for me and I will definitely need to go to bed extra early.
