雅思口语Part1范文:Insects
How do you feel about insects?
Insects! Well… To be honest I like insects. Some people are scared of bugs and creepy crawlies but I find insects fascinating. In fact, they’ve vital for human life, believe it or not! Insects are an important part of our ecosystem, and as we should protect the natural environment, we should also consider protecting insect life.
Are there many different insects where you live?
I live in the centre of a major city, so there aren’t many insects really, to be honest. However, my grandparents live in the countryside, and whenever we go there I see a lot of insects. Beatles, bumble bees, woodlice, flies, gnats, all sorts of different insects. A lot of butterflies and ladybirds too. They like the vegetables in the fields and the trees, you see.
Do you think insects can be useful to human life?
Insects are an important part of our ecosystem. I recall learning this in biology class when I was in school. Take bees, as a good example: bees feed and collect pollen from flowers, in order to take back to their hives, make honey and feed the queen bee. In doing so, they actually spread the pollen and seeds from the flowers, and more flowers grow, and it’s… I think you’d call it a cyclical natural process. You know, a cycle of nature.
