The prize I have won is the second award of a Marathon Race run by the City Council. As a high-standard and wide-covered competition, it is participated by two types of runners, the amateur and the professional. It is usually held on an annually basis and thousands of people from all walks of life could participate in it with an admission fee approximately 20 yuan.

It was just 3 days ago when the weekends were coming and I luckily had 2 days off and didn’t have to work overtime. The reason I participated in this competition was quite simple and practical: as a white collar, I scarcely have time to take exercise in my daily life and I’m usually tied up due to my hectic work schedule. As a result, when I saw the advertisement of this marathon race in a social media site, I immediately made up my mind to be a runner for this match rather than continue being obsessed by my routine work.

Speaking of the prizes I have won, there is one that is truly thrilling and has left an indelible impression (难以磨灭的印象) on me. When I was in high school, I participated in a debate competition held by the school with a few of my classmates, and we won the finale (决赛) and became the champion at last.

I have always been very enthusiastic about debating because I suppose the process of that can really help deepen my thinking (加深思考). So, when I saw the competition, I just went to sign up without any hesitation. To become the winner, our team had been working extremely hard since the first contest. But having said that, I bet that there are many other sorts of rewards that schools offer to children, but in my experience, these are the most common ones.
