范文一：

The car journey I am going to tell you happened last spring festival when I took the coach from Beijing to my hometown 800 kilometers away by myself. Spring festival is the most important festival in Chinese culture. No matter where you are and how old you are, as long as you are a Chinese, you choose to come back to your hometown and spend the holiday with your parents, relatives and friends.

Since people chose the same days to begin their journey, transport system was pushed to the edge of breaking down. The price of flights soared up and was way beyond my budget. Train tickets were released a month before the scheduled departure and when I checked the booking website, they had already run out. Do not copy or repost it. I logged on the website several times a day to see if there were any new tickets coming out, but it seemed that the goddess of fortune was not on my side. Thus I had no choice but coach, which would take 8 hours.

Actually my parents and I drive to relatives’ place every spring festival and there was once we decided to visit my uncle in Beihai, a small city famous for its spectacular water and beach scenery.

We spent three days on the road and the reason why we chose traveling by car was quite simple: we had plenty of time and we really desired a soothing trip. We really enjoyed this journey because we pulled over anytime we wanted just to enjoy the beautiful view along the road or taste the delicious snacks cooked by peddlers. Also, we had opportunities to see different kinds of buildings and structures and took photos of them .There was one particular temple that I remembered. It was extremely quiet and

A couple of months ago I travelled to Mt.Lao with my classmates Echo and Jimmy by car, it was absolutely an unforgettable experience I’d never had before since we spent a half day on getting there. Well, to be more specific, our car was out of order in the middle of nowhere and we really had a hard day.

Let me tell you what happened. Well, I was always looking forward to driving to a place with a bunch of friends, visiting some extraordinary scenic spots, tasting delicious local cuisines, and feeling the exotic cultures. So after a tight preparation, we started our journey in March, a beautiful day in Spring. We departed at approximately 5:00 am, it was really early I know but we were very happy and excited not only because of our destination but also because it’s a good way to run away from the hustle and the bustle of the city.

I don’t believe it’s necessary to drive every day; actually, there are more and more people taking public transportation for daily routine since there are so many benefits. Taking subway for an example, convenience, as you can see, there are plenty of subway stations along the street so we can take it anywhere we want to. Besides, metro runs much more frequently per hour thus we can catch it anytime we like. Another reason is that it’s kind of fast to travel by underground during rush hours as it’s the only vehicle underground, we don’t need to worry about traffic jam at all. As a result, a growing number of citizens are abandoning private cars and prefer to travel by public transportation.
