Last week my friend Ella and I traveled to Dali, the second largest city in the southwest of China, to have fun and we lived in a house belonging to a local farmer for 3 days. I felt it was my dream house.

The house is located in a small village near a lake and it is about 2 hours’ drive away from the city center.

It is a 3-storey building with a garden. On the first floor, there are a large living room, a modern kitchen and a well-designed bathroom. I’m a foodie and I love cooking very much, so the kitchen is my favorite part because it is equipped with a variety of good quality cookers like a stove, a toaster, a microwave and so forth.

I have always dreamed of owning a house at Sanya, the southernmost seaside city in China.Whenever I feel tired, and want to delight and even refresh myself, I can make a trip with my friends to the beach house.

There are two major differences. Obviously, there are more and better job opportunities in the cities, so people are able to earn more money. Now more and more people especially young people prefer to go to cities to work. It is reported that people that are living in the countryside now are mostly old people and children. It is the reason why most cities have become really crowded.

The environment in the countryside is much better, while the pollution in the cities is serious. Moreover, people in the countryside have a slow-paced lifestyle, so generally speaking, people living in the countryside have a stronger sense of happiness.
