In terms of the conversation that I was not interested in, I couldn't help thinking of the one which took place(发生) during last winter when all people around the country were required to stay at home due to the COVD-19. I hadn’t seen my cousin Lucy for quite a few months and I supposed we would have a lot to say, so I sent a voice message(语音通话) to her via Wechat.

After a brief greeting, Lucy started to talking about her idol who was a young popular singer named Cai Xukun. She told me many things about him including his favorite sports, master piece(代表作), hobbies and so forth. I listened for a while, but to be honest, I didn’t take any interest. However, Lucy kept talking and it seemed that she didn’t want to stop.

I often talk about the most updated news in the world with my friends because all of us are interested in the heated issues. Our discussion covers a wide range of topics from international conflicts to health reports. The other day, we were talking about the big explosion in Beirut, the capital city of Lebanon. We had some tea over talking. My friends were all willing to share the updated news that they learned including the death toll, the most up-to-date findings of reason and so forth. Then we had some discussion over the security management in the port. I like this kind of discussion because I can find other new ways to study a certain issue. It’s really helpful.
