My most frequently used mobile app is Wechat. Wechat is basically the Chinese version of Facebook and Twitter combined. We use it to communicate with our family and friends, share our lives and express our feelings and opinions within our circle of friends or through the commonly known Wechat Moments。

I think I started using Wechat at the age of 16 when I just entered college. To be honest, I was among the last few people  who didn’t use Wechat prior to college. Fortunately, I got the hang of it pretty quickly. The reason I use it often is because my life basically revolves around this app. All my friends are using it and we have multiple

The application that I usually use on my phone is a dictionary published by Microsoft, called Bing. It is a very powerful tool, integrating various functions like voice recognition, translation, and AI English courses for different levels of students.

I downloaded it about three months ago, when I started preparing the IELTS exam. There were so many new words in reading passages, and quite often, I could not find the appropriate words and phrases to express my thought. So I desperately needed a good dictionary to help me.

Yes, I think some apps do help people to study. Personally, I have downloaded multiple study apps ranging from English, to Math and even Japanese. And they are extremely helpful. Most study apps are fun to use and learn. For instance, my Japanese learning app provides me with interactive videos from Japanese native speakers so that I can actually feel as if I am speaking with them in person while using the app. Study apps also create personal study plans in accordance with your day-to-day schedule and will remind you it’s time to study through notifications which are hard to ignore.
