范文1：

I wanna talk about when I lost my way in the city park. I was only a kid, about 5 or 6 years old. The park was newly built, about three blocks away from my home. I was fascinated by the swings there, but my parents were too busy to take me there often. Whenever I thought of the colorful swings in the park, my heart tickled(我的心里痒痒得). Ha, You know what kids are like!

I eventually decided to adventure to the park by myself. I sneaked out of the house(偷偷溜出去) after lunch, when my parents were taking a nap. I knew I was doing wrong, but sitting on the swing, felt like I was on cloud nine(我超级高兴)! The sky was crystal blue and the trees were green! Birds chirped happily all around. The experience I am going to tell you happened three months ago. Back then, I just survived the intensive revision plan and finished all my final exams, which meant I could finally take a breath and enjoy my holiday. So I decided to travel to Luoyang, a nearby city, well-known for the peony and its long history, to relax.

As it is not far away from home, I chose to drive myself to get there. And my father, who had been there several times, told me “do not follow the navigation on your cellphone. I know a shortcut which would save a lot of time”. So I followed his instruction and ignored the constant hints from the electronic map.

1.How can people find their way when they are lost?

Well, it actually depends on where they get lost and what kind of tools they have. If they have phones with the Internet, the easiest way would be to just check the map and follow the guide. If they are lost in a place with a lot of people, like in a mall or in the city center, even without phones, they can ask passers-by or go to the police. However, if you are lost in the wild, it is best to find the direction by looking at the sun. The stars can also identify the direction. They can also find higher ground to observe an area from above, or walk in the direction of other people and lights, or if not, they can carefully observe whether there are traces of previous human activity in the location.
