When describing a person who can speak a foreign language, I would like to share this person with you.

This man is called Fabien and he was my Airbnb host when I was in France. I remember it was last year, I went to France with my friends for the ! national holiday(国庆节). In order to(为了)! save money and ! experience(体验)! the local culture, I booked Airbnb ! instead of(而不是)! a hotel.

1.Do you think communicating with foreigners is a good way to learn more about foreign culture?

Well, it can be. You see, conversations may not be a thorough way to learn about another culture, because there are so many dimensions to a culture. But it definitely provides a unique perspective of the culture, or at least part of the culture. By communicating with people from other countries, we get to know their costoms or culture values and their point of view about things. If you talk to the right person, you might learn more than you set out to learn.

2.What are the disadvantages of working for an international company?

The challenges to working for a global company I think are mainly related to the organizational Culture and language Obstacles. In multi-national corporations, you have to deal with people from all sorts of backgrounds. English may be the main language used at work, but whether you can get used to different accents is a problem. The breakdown of communication can lead to misunderstanding, then plus the cultural differences, it’s not uncommon for employees to have conflicts and eventually have to leave.
