1.When would parents feel proud of their children?
Most commonly parents would take pride in their kids when some great achievements are gained. People can hardly ignore those mundane satisfaction, their aspirations for fortune and fame you know. After all who can resist the temptation of shiny trophies and flatters from neighbors and relatives? On the other hand, my ideal parents would feel rewarded when their kids firmly pursue their dreams, develop empathy for all the sufferings, or simply have charming personalities. It would be better if parents just stop comparing their kids to the model students next door. As long as they’ve made progress in their own pace, it should be counted as a nice thing to get fulfilled for.

In this case they embark on a brand new journey since finally their efforts pay off. Maybe they’ve suffered from insomnia or tolerated loads of unfair treatment, but in the end people would feel extremely proud as their long-existing wish gets to come true. The same for parents who witness their kids’ growth. They would feel proud of both themselves and their kids, on whom blood, sweat and tears have been spent.
