When it comes to plastic waste, immediately a lot of dirty streets in the city came into my mind. However, there was one time, when I saw a huge amount of plastic rubbish, that left a deep impression on me.

A few years ago, I saw a lot of plastic waste on a beach while on vacation. Actually before I went there, one of my friends strongly recommended that place, saying that it would be one of the most stunning (绝美的) beaches he had ever visited. He sent through some photos he had taken: the dazzling (耀眼的) white sand, the clear blue water and the beautiful waves. I immediately decided to visit it. However, as soon as I got there, I just couldn’t believe what I had in front of my eyes.
