During summer vacation, my mother and I went hiking. We went to a small local hill, which is not really high, about 2, 000 meters above sea level(海平面上). However, I had always disliked sports, and the intensity(强度) of mountain climbing was already very extreme for me. So before I was halfway up the mountain(半山腰), I couldn't continue anymore.

I sat on the ground panting(喘气), drinking water and saying I wanted to give up. I even got mad at my mom, blaming her for taking me up the mountain in the summer. But my mother didn't give up, she kept persuading me, telling me that the scenery on the top of the mountain was more beautiful. If I couldn't overcome difficulties。。。。。余下范文省略!

1. Should people set goals for themselves?

Yes, I think they should. I hold that goal setting is the first step toward successful goal achievement. It marks your first point towards success and it is when you switch from living passively to being an active creator of your life. Besides, setting goals will navigate your life. 2. How would you define success?

In my perspective, success is a relative term and everyone could have his/her own definition. Personally speaking, I think you are successful if do something and you feel you have done it well, it’s totally depending on your standards. 3. How do we judge whether young people are successful nowadays?

It is an interesting question. When we are talking about success, we think about wealth, fame, and high social status. Indeed, we can’t deny these generally acknowledged standards. 4. Are successful people often lonely?
