The minute I got off the train from Beijing to Shijiazhuang, my throat became itchy.

It was in the winter of 2017, around December. I went to Shijiazhuang to attend my friend’s wedding. I had never been to Shijiazhuang before, so I was quite excited about that trip. However, the first impression was not so good. I was informed later that Shijiazhuang was one of the most severely (adv. 严重地) polluted cities in China.
