The World War II, which took place between 1939 and 1945, lasted for 6 years.

The Second World War ranged from Europe to Asia, from the Pacific to the Atlantic. The main body of the war was the fighting between the fascist axis powers(法西斯轴心国) represented by Germany, Italy, and Japan, against the allied forces(盟军) represented by the United States, Britain, France, and China. Eventually, the allied forces won and their victory signaled(意味着，标志着) the end of the war. Frankly speaking, it was the scene of the largest military confrontation(军事战争) in history, and caused immeasurable damage(无法估量的伤害) and loss to people all over the world.
