Firstly, helping people in the community can provide a suitable solution to their problems. People in the same community more or less know about each other. This means they can give specific help and support for those in need, which makes the process more efficient and effective.

Secondly, people can see the result of their charitable actions when they help others in their community directly. One of the motivations for people to help others is that it brings tangible positive influence over others. It is not rare to see that some well-to-do countries like to give financial aid or other forms of assistance to poor ones. Conflicting ideas clash in whether or not economic donation is the best effective means of assistance. Speaking for myself, those developed countries should assume the responsibility of helping those countries, which are still suffering from the agonies of popular disease, poor education and undeveloped trade. However, financial aids have both its merits and demerits， other suitable ways of assistance should be considered.

Indeed, some arguments could be explored to justify that those well-off countries ought to give a financial aid to the poverty-stricken nations’ charities. For a start, it is out of the reason of humanism and could benefit the straitened nations directly. More precisely, financial beneficence from the developed countries could help to accelerate the construction of infrastructure and establishing more houses. Also, when some rich countries donate large sums of money to those needy countries, more job opportunities could be created and thus living standards of the poor countries could be enhanced.
