Currently, a huge number of people are crowding into big cities, in search of decent job positions, high quality education, and better health care. However, urban citizens are finding that living in large cities is becoming increasingly difficult and the level of life quality is becoming poorer. In this essay, the reasons for the problem and some action will be explored.

It is obvious that many reasons can be attributed to the worse life quality. To start with, traffic jams are regarded as a very annoying issue in big cities. Passengers and drivers need to wait in long lines of vehicles in rush hours. Moreover, although much effort has been made to improve the environment, environmental problems still remain to be a huge threat to urban citizens, especially air pollution caused by exhausted gas. In addition, many people living in big cities can barely afford a flat due to soaring housing price. It is quite hard for people to find a sense of belonging in a large city without a permanent place to stay in.

In light of the above factors, effective action can be taken to address the problem. Firstly, regarding the traffic issue, the government should give priority to develop public transportation and restrict the use of private cars in urban areas to reduce traffic congestion. More importantly, urban citizens should raise the awareness of obeying traffic rules and regulations.
