With the development of modern society, there seems to be an irresistible uprising momentum of anti-social behaviors and lacking in respect between people. Various causes may lead to this increasingly prevailing phenomenon. From my personal perspectives, I tend to attribute this tendency to the morbid social conduct, the gap between the rich and the poor and the fiasco of school education.

随着现代社会的发展，反社会行为势不可挡，人们之间缺乏尊重。各种原因可能导致这种日益普遍的现象。从我个人的角度来看，我倾向于将此趋势归因于病态的社会行为，贫富之间的差距以及学校教育的失败。

The surroundings somewhat influence the behaviors of people due to the conformity mentality among us. A healthy social conduct will guide people, on the contrary, an unhealthy society can destroy the very good nature of people. Take an example of the terrorist attack in Norway 2011, which caused 77 innocent civilians’ lives. If there were a more harmonious social conduct to give more sense of belonging to that pervert killer, the tragedy could be prevented.

The past decades have witnessed an increasing trend towards offensive behaviors in society. While it is a complicated problem that should be attributed to multiple reasons, I tend to analyze the conundrum from educational perspective, and then recommend solutions accordingly.

Firstly, it is difficult for me to see the misbehavior as anything other than the result of insufficient school education on social awareness. Despite the tricky social problem includes diverse acts ranging from misuse of public space, disregard for community safety to offensive problems like fighting, all these problems share a common feature – the lack of social responsibility, which disciplines individuals to regulate their behaviors and emotions according to the social rules. By the same token, impoliteness is a symptom of problem to which I see inappropriate parenting as the answer – good manners are usually cultivated by role modelling of parents since preschool years.
