It seems to me that there is a clear-cut answer to this question. Although in early years of a child’s life parents are the principle educators, that role is soon assumed very largely by the child’s teachers.

First and foremost, teachers know best in terms of education. Undoubtedly, education is the keystone to promote one’s intellectual development and a well-educated person is more likely to achieve a successful social status. Teachers are professional educators and are better equipped with expertise in teaching. The influence from teachers is significant enough to affect on the whole life of a kid.

Furthermore, as children spend most of their time in schools, the communication between children and teachers is apparently more frequent and even more intimate than the parent-child contact. As we know, children’s intelligent growth greatly depends on what adults instill into their mind.

范文2:

It is a fact that a child’s development is subject to both his upbringing and schooling. From my perspective, however, parents who spend quality time with their sons and daughters exert greater influence than school teachers either in terms of children’s intellectual or social development.

According to my own observation, genetic inheritance plays a significant part. While teachers inspire students in class and help them climb the academic ladder, it cannot explain the fact that there are always a few exceptional students who outperform the rest of the class. I think this is rather a genetic advantage. Similarly, a child’s social ability is much related to his personality. Admittedly, the school environment provides a good context for socializing. When conflicts arise, students need to learn to compromise and cooperate. It develops children’s interpersonal skill to a certain extent, but those who remain shy and reserved reflect deeper influence from their families.
