I agree that team sports are an effective way to teach children how to cooperate with each other,but whether they are the optimal choice depends on some preconditions such as individuals’ skills or their inclination to be independent first.

Team sports aim to win as a group by adopting a strategy that involves everyone’s skills but may not allow each one to fully shine. As children are accustomed to being told to try their best to excel in class, they may need to change such way of thinking if they are to participate in a football or basketball match. First of all,they may have to give up their wish to be in a certain position. Such a struggle deep down enables them to learn compromise. Secondly, in the play,they need to balance between bringing their own skill into full play and staying alert all the time to give support to their team members. Therefore, we can safely say team sports are an ideal means of developing children’s teamspirit, which is a necessary quality required in their future jobs.

In contemporary society, our world is becoming an intricate matrix of interdependent relationships, in which the mutual dependence constitutes the key to survival. It is manifest that team Sports, regardless of their abundant sorts and the underpinned skills, are the extensive network of intelligent and psychological factors along with physical power of team members.
