范文1:

In recent years, the society has experienced a drastic change and undergone a process of modernization through which people have been in great satisfaction with their material life. As a result, some people begin to seek a more health care-satisfying society with the belief that it is a prime responsibility of the government to ensure its people’s wellbeing. Therefore, free healthcare is compulsory. Contrary to this, other people deem health care is a personal problem and should be tackled by individuals. In this essay, both sides would be illustrated as follows.

As is widely acknowledge, free healthcare is a prevailing issue for international community. Some countries, such as Sweden, have offered blissful welfare to its citizens. The primary outcome is people’s financial relief. People can allocate their budget on other expenditures like education or traveling, etc. Thus, people can develop a more cultural style of living, through which national cultural and educational level will be raised as well. In addition, this operation can decrease the criminal rate and avoid the possible occurrence of many potential problems, creating a more stable social environment. People with better care both mentally and physically rarely have the tendency to offend laws.

范文2:

Free medical care is absolutely a welcome proposal, but from my perspective, it is far from feasible in today’s China.

Advocates of free health care, despite their good wish for those suffering physical pain, actually fail to realize the hidden cost and negative consequences that are likely to ensue. As doctors and nurses have to be consistently properly paid to remain in this industry, the exemption of patients from medical costs means the burden will be transferred to the government. In China, a country with the largest population, governments at various levels may have difficulty in providing such exorbitant costs, as there exist other urgencies calling for national investment like education and infrastructure. The worse scenario could be more tax imposed on common people in order to finance the medical system. Another possible outcome is that people may go to hospital more frequently than they really need to, which means the limited medical resources may not be optimized, leaving the real sufferers waiting to be treated.
