范文1:

The enlargement of enrollment of universities in China has always divided people in attitude. Some welcome it on the belief that higher education will bring our country more talents while others, facing the increasing unemployment rate among unversity graduates, doubt its necessity. From my perspective, going to university is still necessary but universities themselves need to reform to make young people better equipped for the future.

The purpose of univerisity education goes far beyond offering specialized knowledge and much-needed skills to those eager minds, who make contributions to the country by finding a job related to their major. It also takes the reponsibility to cultivate all-round abilities through various extracurricum activities, develop young adults’ critical thinking by offering freedom to communicate in class, shape life values by demonstrating integrity, perseverance and other good qualites, and even fuel their enthusiasm for a particular field. That is where the charm of university is and certainly beneficial to both individuals and nations.

范文2:

Long gone are the days when college degree holders were the most sought-after commodity on the labor market. The scarcity of well-educated intellectuals in the past largely explain their superior social status and high income level compared to their undereducated counterparts. However, as the number of university graduates has been growing at an exponential rate over the last decade or so, their career prospect may not appear as rosy as has been hitherto anticipated. Concerns are growing over the rising unemployment rate for college students, a social woe that was once exclusively associated with the less educated workforce in our society.

Advocates are hardly incorrect in contending that a surging proportion of college graduates will do more good than harm to our society as a whole. In fact, given the pronounced social shift from compliance onto innovation - as evidenced by the emergence of numerous high-tech industries in niche market such as military drones or AlphaGo, the highly educated individuals are serving as a powerhouse, continuously driving our social progress and, more importantly, figurinw out cures to social illnesses confronting many embattled governments. State-of-the-art medical treatment is called for to counter some deadly diseases running rampant in many less fortunate regions; self-driving technology, once introduced on a broader scale, could renew, if not reshape, our understanding of modern transportation; environmental degradation could threaten to wipe out the entire human race if experts fail to come up with some drastic and unorthodox measures. Such hopes would be dashed if our education system proves incompetent in continuously delivering budding talents. Are we seriously expecting such responsibilities to fall on the shoulders of construction workers or auto repairmen?
