In this digital age, we have witnessed far-reaching developments with respect to computers technology, which has affected our lives in many aspects. For example, an increasing number of people can enjoy the convenience of reading e-books at home instead of going to the library, which has become a relaxation in their lives. Are libraries wasting the limited public funds of the society? From my point of view, both libraries and computers play equally essential role in our life.

It is an undeniable fact that the application of computer technology provides a super high way for individuals to conveniently get access to wide range knowledge and real time information. For instance, the tremendous online version books make it easier for the readers to search by keyword, author or category without going out to be caught in the rush. What’s more, they can keep pace with the latest development of the outside world when logging in their computers, either to browse the websites anytime or to update their listing or notes.

Apparently, the constantly improving computer technology plays an important role in education. Some people who think highly of the convenience of Internet and e-books for knowledge and information visit libraries less frequently and regard libraries as a waste of resources. However, from my perspective, no matter how powerful computers become, the role of libraries is irreplaceable.

Admittedly, it is very convenient and efficient for people to study with computers. Usually, by typing in the keyword in a potent search engine, people get the answer within seconds; the quick downloading of journals and documents from a giant database enables people to save the traffic time to libraries. Sitting in front of the screen and browsing webpages, people complete the process of learning. The all inclusive Internet has changed modern citizens' way of acquiring knowledge.
