The research and development of artificial intelligence is so fast that some scientists believe it is a matter of time that computers will become cleverer than humans. This viewpoint makes some people excited, but also causes serious concern among the general public.

Those optimists may visualize a future world in which machines and robots would replace human beings in various aspects of life and work. In the factory, workers are liberated from the boring and repetitive jobs, which can be done perfectly by automated equipments. Car drivers no longer worry about traffic congestion because the route is optimized by computer programs. They only need to push a button and the car would drive automatically to their destinations. People would have more time for leisure and recreation and life would become comfortable and enjoyable, as those machines and robots equipped with high intelligence would look after everything for us.
