2017年8月12日雅思写作范文：Some groups of people have benefited from modern communication technology, but other people have not benefited from it. To what extent do you agree or disagree with the opinion?

Nowadays, with the development of communication technology, an increasing number of people have benefited from it. However, it is suggested that not every one benefits from it. I disagree with the opinion for the following reasons.

Firstly, technology is to benefit not only individuals but also the whole society. Likewise, modern communication technology benefits the users because it brings much convenience to their communication. Modern communication technology also benefits the whole society by promoting working efficiency with faster information exchange. So, the high working efficiency can promote the economic growth. Those who have not used the modern communication technology can also benefit from the economic growth.

Secondly, the popularity of modern technology means the use of traditional ways may become cheaper than before. For example, when mobile phone and internet become popular, the use and installation of telephone become much cheaper. So, those who still use the traditional communication technology can also benefit from the invention of the modern communication technology as it decreases the price of traditional communication method.
