The rapid social progress imposes the pressure on people’s life. Students are no exception. It is seen that young students are working around the clock and being buried in the piles of homework. Nevertheless, there are both pros and cons from the issue.

The positive effects can be expected. Apparently, students themselves are the beneficiaries. High school and college students are still within the period of building essential habits and character to prepare for their future life. Industriousness and diligence is an imperative merit to develop to cope with the accelerating pace of life. The society also gets the best of the commitment of young people in study. When a whole generation grows up to be with the spirit of hard-working, the society is bound to see a promising development. The good qualities nurtured by the positive character such as making plans, devotion to one thing and being calm under mounting pressure not only ensure personal success but also boost the society to climb up.
