As the society is advancing by leaps and bounds, young people in increasing number are inclined to regard themselves as the masters of their own free time. under this circumstance, an absolute consensus can hardly be reached whether they should dedicate more time to the company with their family members rather than go out for entertainment. I will make an objective analysis of this argument in my following essay.

Some people harbor the belief that enjoying quality time together is of paramount importance in creating harmonious atmosphere of a family on the grounds that the more opportunities the family have for sharing mutual ideas and enjoying pleasant hours , the stronger the family are in terms of emotional bond. The family activities that young people can engage in include eating meals together, talking about the events of the day, sharing joys and defeats, doing household chores and spending evenings watching TV,all of which can send a strong message of family love. To some, these activities may seem not always necessary, but without them, it is next to impossible for young people to learn how to love the family.

Nowadays, there is much agreement over the arrangement of young people over their spare time. Some people think that more of young people’s free time should be spent with their families rather than entertaining outside, while others hold an opposite opinion. I will discuss both points of view before giving my own opinion.

People who support the former point of view put forward that first of all, the sense of belonging to a family is essential for a person’s wellbeing and particularly significant for young people. Most of young people just enter the society and start the challenging social life. Without the family support, they are hardly able to deal well with the difficulties they will encounter. So it is worthwhile to spend more time at home as it helps to strengthen the family bond. Besides, it wins credit for young people by enhancing the values of family. Being inexperienced, young people are believed to be less faithful. Accompanying parents and families shows the responsibility of young people for the family, developing the social recognition of them.
