It is true that the high crime rate has been a disturbing social problem(烦人的社会问题)for many countries.Some people believe that considering the root cause(根源)of committing crime,the best apporach(方法way,method的替换词)is to help them be literate individuals and thus succeed in finding jobs and make a living after being set free.I completely agree with them.

In my view,better education can,to a large extent,(从很大程度上)bring down the overall crime rate(降低犯罪率)in any community,and thus being the most desirable measure.A large number of offenders break the law just because they are unware of(没有意识到)the fact that what they are doing is violating the law.For example,some interviews about thosechild traffickers(贩卖儿童者)is really surprising because they said they are actually doing a favor for those infertile(不能生育的)parents.If they can be offered the opportunities to be educated about the consequences of such practice,they will not get involved in(参与到) this for their benefits(利益，好处)any more.
