思路点拨：

1.分开教学

(1)相同水平的学生在一起学习更能够保证教学进度，老师在授课的过程中能够根据相同水平学生的情况进行“因材施教”。

(2)没有学生拖后腿，这样的班级可以比较容易培养出精英人才，老师会把全部精力给班级所有尖子生，有利于提高他们的学习成绩。

2.一起教学

(1)拥有不同能力的学生在一起学习有利于水平较差学生的进步。同时，学习不好并不代表他们别的地方没有擅长之处，一些学习可以让大家优劣互补，比如运动会上，大家都可以为班级尽一份力，可以增加学生的集体荣誉感。

(2)根据个人能力的不同实行不同的教学方法，虽然是提升学校整体成绩和升学率的一种措施，但是对学生个人的发展有很大的消极作用，他们自身会感觉到差异性，进而自卑，影响未来发展。一起教学可以让大家彼此互帮互助，对他们以后的人生发展也会有很大的帮助。

Endowed with different talents, every individual contributes to our society in different ways, so to treat every student equally is a common practice in most schools today. However, many schools are now entertaining the idea that students should be selected and educated together according to their levels of academic intelligence. Generally, I believe that schools should continue with their traditional strategy.

每个人都被赋予不同的才能，以不同的方式为我们的社会做出贡献，所以平等对待每个学生是当今大多数学校的普遍做法。然而，现在许多学校都在考虑，学生应该根据他们的学术智力水平一起被挑选和教育。总的来说，我认为学校应该继续他们的传统策略。

It is true that teaching intelligent students together might improve their study efficiency to some extent, as being in a competitive learning environment, their potential abilities in academic studies could be developed as much as possible. But schools and parents should also realize that it is/quite dangerous to oversimplify the situation here.

There is no doubt that the purpose of school education is to prepare young people for the rigours of academic life during higher education, as well as equip them with the tools to become responsible citizens of the world. On both these counts, critics argue that schools are failing. One reason cited for this is the lack of academic selection at an early enough age.

Education alists have never reached a consensus on whether it is better to divide classes by ability or not. The advantage of academic selection at school is that it enables students of strong ability to work at the same level as their peers, pushing them to do well as the intellectual competition is much stronger. Bright students who are educated alongside less able students can be held back and prevented from thriving. The arguments for basing class selection on ability are based largely on the need to benefit those students with ability.

教育家学家们从未就是否按能力分班教育更好达成一致意见。学校学术选择的优势是，它使能力强的学生与同等水平的同龄人一起学习，由于智力竞争更激烈而推动他们做得更好。聪明的学生和能力较差的学生一起接受教育，能力可能会受到抑制并阻碍他们蓬勃发展。
