The graph indicates the proportion which British peopleco mmunicating with each other through various devices represented(数据是百分比图形的改写模式)during the one decade from 1998.

When it comes to faxes, which played a leading role in people’s daily communication at 50% in the beginning, its rate experienced a stable decline to 10% until 2006, followed by a slightly downward movement to 5% in the end. However, the landline occupied the second position with 40% at first, and then its figures climbed moderately to 75% in 2004. Afterwards, its percentage restored itself, outstripping its original level(恢复并超越), reaching 20% over the last year.
