Traditionally women were only admitted into the service- and support-based occupations and units in military or police force,but some insist that full openness of all positions to women should be implemented on the ground of equality.

Those who advocate services in military or police force should be gender-blind may argue that women soldiers or policewomen can be as physically and intelligently competent as male counterparts in completing tasks in modern world. When physical strength is no longer characterized as the prerequisite in operating modern military technology, women candidates are allowed to receive the same training courses and strive hard to pass stringent screening procedures, there is no solid reason to exclude women from taking a position to serve the duty.

At present, different people have opposite opinions about whether females should assume the same roles like males do in the national security department. In my opinion, there are gender differences between women and men in terms of physical and mental attitudes, so they do not need to bear equal roles in every department.

Many individuals claim that women should carry out the same tasks as men do in the police force and military force because of gender equality and opportunities regulated by national laws. However, even though the public have their right to pursue a specific position, there is no denying that males and females are born with different strengths and abilities. In most cases, women can do civilian and support services rather than work in the frontline in police office and armed forces. Similarly, women possess higher levels of patience and gentleness than men do; therefore, women are proved to perform better in caring for patients and carrying out secretary work.
