It is true that children’s way of spending their spare time has been changed because of technological innovations, but I would argue that the advantages of that change more than compensate for any disadvantages.

On the one hand, there are two serious drawbacks when children waste their time on playing video games or using the internet. Firstly, those habits lead to less communication among children and their peers or family and to a sedentary lifestyle which those games encourage. Consequently, children do not have time to do exercises that are necessary for their adequate physical and even development. Secondly, spending much of their spare time on their computer or mobiles phones is another reason that causes health problems for youngsters. For example, if they keep their eyes glued to the screen and consoles for hours on end, they may suffer symptoms of poor vision.

Great changes have taken place in people's lives because of original technology, especially in the way how kids spend their spare time. I think this situation will benefit our next generation.

It has been admitted that technological developments do not always bring pleasant surprises，but also be annoyed sometimes. For immature children, some new technical products like smart phones,computers, electrical appliances are overly dependent. Such scenes become the norm of life when children take a short vacation from school. Teenagers are frequently accompanied by their mobile phones and try all kinds of new apps so that they barely communicate with their family members even face to face.Not only could that take far away between the relationships,but jeopardize children’s physical health as well. Those electronic devices emit radiation which increases risk of developing ailments such as headaches,hearing problems,etc. Additionally, continuous exposure to signal and blue light from the screen can damage eyesight of young people.
