Humans are responsible for a variety of environmental problems and immediate measures should be taken to solve them. I believe individuals, governments and large companies all have much to contribute to alleviation of the environment.

It is true that some problems could only be solved by the government and companies. Emissions and exhaust fumes from factories lead to global warming, which may have a devastating effect on the planet in the future. However, this problem could only be solved by the government to introduce laws to limit emissions or to force companies to use renewable energy from solar, wind or water power. Besides, enormous areas of rainforest have been cut down to provide materials or land for industrial use. But the solution to this problem also lies with the government rather than individuals. However, individuals could also make huge contributions to environment protection.
