The almost universal availability of computers and mobile phones allow people to obtain information in a timely manner, which makes some claim that printed materials are not needed anymore. I, however, disagree with it.

Admittedly,the glamour of traditional sources of information such as books, magazines and newspapers is being eroded by the effectiveness of the internet. Electric devices supported by it have been embracing booming sales in the market these years. For instance, even most middle school students are reported owning a smart phone so that they could be kept informed of up-to-the-minute domestic or international affairs. Books or traditional media, by comparison, could hardly compete in speed due to high printing cost. In this sense, paper materials are seemingly of less use than in the past.
