The column graph depicts the percentage points of employees not attending work with a variety of explanations. The causes listed on the horizontal axis include, illness, stress, personal needs, family responsibilities and unexpected problems. The time measurement is for the years 2000, 2005 and lastly, 2010.

Overall, it can clearly been seen that illness is the dominant cause for absenteeism, although with steadily falling numbers, which is also the case for family responsibilities. However, stress, personal needs as well as unexpected problems all demonstrate measured growing trends.
