In recent years, some people think that animals should not be used as food or other purposes in modern society. I tend to believe that making use of animals for human benefit is morally wrong, but I would argue that it is still necessary for people to eat animals and have animal experimentation.

On the one hand, many people feel it is unethical and unnecessary to exploit animals for human use. They believe that slaughtering farm animals for their meat and fur or experimenting on mice can be immoral, as the lives of all living creatures should be respected. More importantly, the technological advancements in agriculture, pharmaceuticals and clothing have provided people with various alternatives in those areas. For example, consumers nowadays are able to buy lab-grown meat，synthetic drugs and faux fur coats which require much less natural resources to produce.
