The column graph depicts four interests enjoyed by Australian youngsters, in three age groups from 5 to 16 years old in 2012. The horizontal axis lists the pursuits, of Watching TV, Reading, Art and Riding the bike. The vertical axis records measurements as a percentage.

Overall, the most striking feature is that 'Watching TV’ was the most popular with all groupings, whilst art the least well-practiced.

Firstly, 'Watching TV' held the most interest, at 90% for 5 to 8 years old rising steadily to peak at 98% for 12 to 16 years old. 'Reading' was less popular with percentages markedly lower, generally by 30%. The youngest group beginning at 65%, is rising slightly to 70 and 72% respectively for the other age groups.
