The bar chart compares the different waste disposal approaches in four European countries.
Landfill is the commonest method to deal with waste in Italy, Spain and UK, but the least popular one in Netherland. Around 6% of the waste in the former three countries is buried, whereas only 1.7% of waste in Netherland is disposed in this way.
Recycling is the second most popular strategy utilized in Italy, Spain and UK, with approximately 4%, but the most popular method in Netherlands, with nearly 5% of its garbage recycled.
