The bar chart gives information about the share of total world production in Asia, Europe and the rest of the world respectively during period between 1880 and 2000.

In general, it is notable that the total production in Europe and the rest of the world experienced the similar situation by declining after a time of boosting while the tendency in Asia was just the opposite.

More specifically, when it comes to Europe, the production turned out to be almost 40% of the total amount in the year of 1840, after which, it reached a peak at 45% with in 40 years, lingering around for the next 4 decades, before it finally lost its momentum, ending at less than 30% of the whole world’ in 2000.
