2014年8月16日雅思写作范文：Governments are encouraging industries and businesses to move from large cities to regional areas. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

In some countries governments are planning to relocate industries and business far from large cities. Despite difficulties and challenges on the way to put this scheme to practice, I believe this is a good idea worth trying.

Moving industries from large cities to regional areas may confront three main problems, namely the high cost, the lack of labor and infrastructure construction issues. First, it would clearly cost an enormous amount of money to move existing manufacturing industries such as steel plants, petroleum refineries to rural areas. Besides, the lack of skilled workers can also have a negative impact. As not all of the employees are willing to live in the countryside where medical conditions and education quality are far inferior to those in urban cities where they originally belong. Furthermore, infrastructure like transportation is another major concern. If industries are established in remote areas, infrastructure such as highways and railroads have to be built to connect the manufacturing bases and markets. Although thanks to high-technology, faster trains and cheaper flights are available, long distance transportation of products to consumers remains an undoubted disadvantage.

However, admitting the potential challenges of this initiative does not mean government will see no benefits. If the industries are removed from urban areas, city dwellers will enjoy better environment with less air and noise pollution. People will find large cities are less crowded, cleaner and greener, which will definitely decrease the sources of certain diseases and improve public health. What is more, traffic congestion will be drastically reduced as workers for those industries will move out of the city too. In addition, transferring industries 。。。。
