In modern society, young people prefer to leave their hometown, hunting a better paid job in a metropolis, where they present a tendency of living alone instead of getting married or starting a family as early as their counterpart in small cities or towns.

This trend may involve some factors and the most rooted one can be the modern urbanized lifestyle which features high level of instability in terms of residence and economic situation. This often prevents young people from settling down until late 30s when they gain a relatively steady life. In addition, young people facing enormous competition and stress at workplace have to focus on their jobs, leaving little time for their personal issue. Under such circumstance, committing to a serious relationship or starting a family means tremendous responsibility and dedication, which surely cannot be a preferable choice for the young generation.

This change of lifestyle can have some negative effects on individuals and the society as a whole. Firstly low birthrates result in an ageing population and the lack of labor force in the future. Medical care service will be in high demand and medical cost will rise significantly.....
