When competition in the employment market is heating, talking about happiness from a job seems like a luxury and in reality most of college graduates are merely seeking for a safe position to support themselves.

Surely for a job seeker, there is little room for being picky and economic independence has to be their priority, especially when economy is going downhill. This is also the case for those who have the responsibility to raise a family. For these bread earners, unemployment is not what they can afford, and hence they are not allowed to hop from job to job. Besides these realistic reasons, some people are lack of security sense and they seek for that sense in every aspect of their life including their career. However, out of safety consideration, it would be much less likely for a person to explore his potential and make the best of his life.

On the contrary, those workers who dare to expect joy at work are more possible to achieve a prosperous career. The reasons for this argument involve two perspectives. The first one is that in a happy mood, employees would be more creative and innovative, which tends to result in higher productivity and better personal performance at work.
