The bar chart compares men to women who travelled for six purposes in June in 2010 and the unit of distance is measured by mile.

Men travelled farther than women for three purposes. The first one was travelling for work which took men 35000miles and women 30000 miles respectively. Similarly in terms of the distance for entertainment and day trip, men also made longer trips, at 15000 miles and 10000miles for each of the two reasons, in comparison to their counterpart (10000m and 700m).

For the other three purposes, women covered slightly longer distance. They travelled 30000 miles for shopping while men 28000m for the same reason. Women and men travelled very similar distance just above 25000m for taking children to school. Visiting friends was the reason for 25000m and 21000m of travel for。。。..。。
