2020年8月1日雅思写作范文：Rich countries often give financial aid to poor countries, but it does not solve the poverty. So, rich countries should give other types of help to the poor countries rather than the financial aid. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The reasons behind the poverty of a country are diverse, ranging from the lack of natural resources to political weaknesses. In my opinion, the financial support from wealthy countries alone may not be enough to address all these problems in the impoverished countries, but it does not mean that it is useless and unnecessary. Its contribution, in fact, largely depends on how it is used.

Admittedly, pure monetary support has various kinds of limitations in tackling the problem of poverty in undeveloped areas. Firstly, although direct donation can be used for purchasing life necessities， such as food，consumer goods, and medical supplies,for the people in the poor regions to meet their imperative needs,it can be used up soon without targeting the root of poverty, like the economic depression and the lack of job opportunities. From a long-term perspective, it is how to assist these countries develop a self-sustainable economic environment that really matters. Aiming at increasing the locals' value in human resource so that they are able to make a fortune on their own； imparting knowledge and technology, in comparison, seems to be the ultimate solutions, which, however, require other forms of aids, such as the provision of better education and vocational training. Secondly, the corruption in some poor countries is another common concern of whether the donation can truly benefit the locals or end up in dirty local officials' own pockets. By contrast, what civilians can learn from the classroom is something concrete that cannot be corrupted but genuinely help them develop money-making skills to make a living.
