Undoubtedly, an absolute consensus can hardly be reached with regard to what is the priority for the rich. Some people harbor the belief that (认为)assisting others such as charity is of paramount importance(具有至关重要的作用). For my part, I side with advocate partially(部分赞同).

It is generally accepted that(普遍认为) rich people are equipped with(具有) more opportunities to assist others on the grounds that(因为) helping those in need is a path to everlasting happiness. It is human nature to feel distressed when they see terrible conditions which the impoverished(穷人) are confronted with(面对) due to wars and disasters and it is also uplifting(令人振奋的) to see others suffering from poverty or living on the brink of(边缘) starvation possess enough bread money with your donations and efforts. In addition, this practice can act as an effective channel to improve the image and prestige(形象和声望) of economically advantaged ones, which could be further illustrated with the example that many billionaires like Bill Gates and Buffett have embraced the fame from donating money to fight against AIDS in Africa.
